Registered Nurse | Kaiser Permanente

Stella has 20 years of extensive nursing expertise in oncology, ICU, ER, and perioperative service. Her commitment to delivering top-notch patient care is evident through her collaborative approach as a team member. Stella’s passion for mentoring comes to life as she guides and supports new nurses through the challenges of the profession. Stella holds the belief that everyone, irrespective of their journey or background, possesses opportunities for a promising future. Outside of her professional life, Stella is a devoted wife and mother to two high school sons. Her involvement in mentoring undergraduate students at SJSU highlights her dedication to empowering future healthcare professionals. In her leisure time, Stella cherishes family moments, time with friends, reading, and exploring the culinary arts.


Executive Director | Nexus Mentoring

Sandy is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Nexus Mentoring which converges her passions, skills, education, and life experiences. Prior to this new initiative, she served as the Staff Director at Healing Grove Health Center and as the Founding Director of Gateway Preschool Academy.  From decades of educating young minds and adults, she is excited to guide individuals in discovering their life design and empowering their leadership.

Outside of work, she actively engages with nonprofit organizations, strategically developing people and programs that benefit local and global communities. She enjoys white water rafting, camping, fishing, and hiking with her husband and four daughters. She also enjoys a good cup of coffee with friends, a new book, or puzzle.


Sr. Technical Program Manager | Pure Storage

Ming has had the privilege of working in Silicon Valley for 40 years, taking on four different roles throughout his career: software engineer, quality engineer, technical program manager, and Agile coach. Over the years, he has contributed his skills to approximately 20 different companies, ranging from small startups with just six employees to multinational giants (250,000+ employees) like EMC, VMware, Arlo, SAP/SuccessFactor, WePay/JPMorgan Chase, and Fujitsu. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University. Ming has actively participated in mentoring programs at various levels, including high school, college, corporate, and non-profit organizations. He finds joy in mentoring as it allows him to share his extensive experience and offer a unique perspective to others. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ming moved to the United States for college. He is married and has three adult children, two of whom are adopted. Outside of work, Ming enjoys reading, watching movies, playing sports such as table tennis and tennis, and traveling.


Wilson Lee

Internship Program Manager | CityTeam

Wilson Lee is a graduate of UC Berkeley in electrical engineering and computer science and has worked in Silicon Valley as a product manager, software manager, hardware engineer, and manufacturing engineer. Wilson recently shifted to the Christian non-profit sector where he runs the internship program at CityTeam Ministries. Through his 30+ years of experience at IBM, Dell, Siemens, ROLM, and now, CityTeam, he’s learned a lot about business, technology, and life in general.  Wilson is married to Magnolia and they are proud parents of two daughters, both of whom graduated from Valley Christian High School.  Wilson mentors undergrad students at UC Berkeley and he also looks forward to furthering the mentoring at Nexus Mentoring.


Co-Founder and Strategic Development Director | Nexus Mentoring

Sabrina is the Co-Founder and Strategic Development Director at Nexus Mentoring. She holds an MBA and bachelor's degree from Purdue University and was previously a high school teacher of business, DECA, and entrepreneurship. Prior to teaching, Sabrina spent most of her 20+ years of corporate career at Hewlett-Packard as a Senior Director of Supply Chain for the North American Consumer PC division; anything supply chain and operations get her really excited! Sabrina loves to collaborate, to build up diverse teams, and drive excellence in execution. At Nexus Mentoring, she hopes to mentor young adults as they grow in finding their identity, passions, and grit. Her favorite pastimes include gardening, backpacking, politics, and traveling. Sabrina has two young adult sons who live in NY and TX and she loves to go visit them. And she is also up for coffee anytime! 


Dentist | Shoreline Dental

Shyan has been practicing general dentistry for 25 years and counting.  He has gained his experience largely from being an owner of 2 private family dental practices, spending countless hours with non-profit organizations providing care to the underserved and Veteran communities, answering the call of duty as a US Army dentist, and teaching and mentoring individuals pursuing a career in dentistry.  He is passionate about helping others find equitable and  creative solutions to their dental needs.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys working out daily.  Given the chance, a long hike or camping trip will be choice activities.  He also invests in the next generation by serving as a volunteer with a youth cadet program.  He enjoys forming supportive community bonds by spending time with family small groups at his local church.

Shyan is a proud alumni of the University of the Pacific where he earned his Bachelors of Arts in Applied Sciences, as well as a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He is married to Hannah, and they have 2 capable sons, Caleb and Gideon.


Engineering Director | Hardware Technology, Apple Inc.

Han is an Engineering Director in the Hardware Technology Division at Apple Inc. He is focused on flash memory technologies and leads storage productization in the entire suite of Apple’s product lines. Prior to Apple, he  drove the process and device technologies at Intel and AMD flash memory division, gaining immense experience in the semiconductor industry. With over 22 years of experience, he has a proven track record of leading both high performing R&D and program management teams. His experience expands extensively into the fields of flash memory product, test and quality engineering. He is also passionate about team collaboration and enjoys bringing teams together to achieve outstanding results.  Outside of work, Han enjoys traveling to different countries with his wife and daughter and exploring foods from diverse cultures.


Assistant Professor | University of Texas, Dallas

Dr. Alice Wang received her PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2004.  She has over 20 years of experience in designing semiconductors for Mobile Processors at Texas Instruments and MediaTek.  Currently she is an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of Texas at Dallas in the Computer Science Department.  In her free time she loves eating her mom's cooking, playing mahjong with her dad, volunteering with the prison ministry, going to trivia night with friends, and solving complex jigsaw puzzles on her tablet.
